SUMMARY

My technical skill set comes from class and personal projects that relate to real world problems. Through these projects I have learned how to think analytically and to problem solve in a short amount of time, being able to come up with ideas on how to make the thing I working on work. It also taught me to combine the hardware and software into one system. Where both the hardware and software are optimized to work together to be more efficient and conserve power. I also did a project that gave me the skills in prototyping and documenting each change to hardware and software. It also thought me how to do research for this type of project. I was having to research inferred light and how it reacts in an environment. And how an image sensor picks up light and how that data is processed. My classes only strengthened these skills and gave me the value of teamwork.

PROJECTS

  • WINDOWS CONSOLE APP

I have been developing a windows app with the .net framework written in C#.

This app takes in 2 values (products and quantities) and then uses the EPPlus library to export the data to an excel file. Then the Google Drive API uploads this file to a shared folder.

  • SERVER RACK PROJECT

Lately I have been doing a personal project where I create a home-made server. I have a server rack that I have a DNS/ad removal server where I can do local DNS assigning for my NAS server and printer server for my 3d printer.

I have made a NAS server for my photography storage that works off the

SMB protocol on port 445. In the NAS I have 5 10tb HDD set in a raid 5 array.

And a plex server with connection outside of the network though a VPN that I host on a raspberry pi 3b+.

  • NIGHT VISION GOGGLE (MAIN) PROJECT

I have also worked on my night vision goggle project that uses a raspberry pi zero W and a nori camera so that it can take in the 850nm wavelength of light from the 18 infrared 850nm LEDs and display them on the micro-OLED displays over the SPI interface protocol. The goggles can also be accessed through the custom-made webserver run by apachev2. I also designed a custom-made PCB for the LED array with connections for the camera, Raspberry Pi, Buttons for other functionality, data storage and data transmission. I 3d printed and engineered the body of the goggles with emphasis on looks and durability, comfort, and function.

            RESEARCH FOR THIS PROJECT

  • Inferred light.
  • How cameras capture inferred light
  • How to Maximize infrared light distance
  • Inferred light radiation levels.
  • How inferred light interacts with objects.
  • Proper voltage for inferred LEDs.
  • Mathematical formulas to estimate the maximum viewing distance.

            UPCOMING WORK ON THIS PROJECT

  • I am also looking into patently getting this product patented.
  • I am working on my 8th prototype but due to raspberry pi shortage I put this project on hold for now. But I am looking for alternatives to the RPI zero
  • Finalizing the PCB design and body design.
  • API and app integration
  • Intergrading graphics on the display
  • Intergrading over the air updates
  • User accounts with cloud storage
  • Security though the web portal

I will not be releasing code for this project because I might patent it. If you want more information on my research/project, please contact me.

  • ARDUINO CAR PROJECT

I have also worked on a project where I program an Arduino MKR 1000

To control motors wirelessly over Wi-Fi from the Arduino cloud. This project will also send back data from the ultrasonic range finder, temperature sensor, barometric sensor, accelerometer, gyroscope, and magnetometer sensors that will be on board (this part I am currently working on). I also 3d printed and engineered the body of the car for durability and stability and maneuverability.

UPCOMING WORK ON THIS PROJECT

  • I am looking into adding API integration so I can control it with a customized Android app that I am working on.
  • Cellular connection with possibility to manual control
  • Better maneuverability and added functionality.
  • Machine learning

  • TESLA COIL PROJECT

I have built a tesla coil by hand. I have worked on calculating the right number of windings for the Primary and secondary coils as well as experimenting with spark gap and solid-state coils. finding how to step up the voltage from a 9v battery to around 50kv DC with extremely low Amperage. I have also experimented with ionic thrust and how it can be used in different scenarios like flight and space travel on a much larger scale.

  • ENCRYPTED CODE PROJECT

I have written my own encryption python script that encrypts a text file or user inputs. It works by assigning a letter a numerical value and then replaces each letter in the text file or user input with that numerical value.

            UPCOMING WORK ON THIS PROJECT

  • I am going to implement a GUI for this application.
  • Decrypt option (in the works)
  • Generate encryption keys
  • Assign random numerical values to each letter.
  • Implement an Object-Oriented Approach.

  • WIRELESS ACCESS POINT PROJECT

I also worked on a wireless access point project where I took a Raspberry Pi 3b+ and turned it into an access point with the ability to log data and a firewall with the function of blocking all ads from going into the network. It also had the function to text me when a new device connected to the network as well as if any DDOS/cyber-attacks took place.
