The Wearing Away

The cracks remind me of the brokenness that is within me, the winding curves remind me of the twist and turns in my life, the sudden drop off is a reminder of the overwhelming doom that was my fate but then the Lord came over me like a dove and the Lord opened my eyes, the cracks, and curves and the sudden drop off were given new meanings. The cracks are not a reminder of the brokenness but of the opportunity to be mended, the winding curves do not remind me of the twists and turns of my life but of the careful direction the Lord was carving in my life, the sudden drop off is not a reminder of the overwhelming doom but of the opportunities for the Lord to build the path ahead. We try to take our lives in our own hands and carve it to our own liking but when we let God take control he starts shaping the paths we are to take and we are confused when it doesn’t look like the way we wanted it, but in the end we take a step back and the Lord shows us the beautiful Canyon that is our life, everyone is unique and intricate but everyone has a story to tell not of our own making but of the Lord’s! He is our refuge in the hard times. In Him we must place our trust for we are a new creation in Him!

Psalm 71:1-3: In you, Lord, I have taken refuge; let me never be put to shame. In your righteousness, rescue me and deliver me; turn your ear to me and save me. Be my rock of refuge, to which I can always go; give the command to save me, for you are my rock and my fortress.

2 Corinthians 5:17: Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!

Proverbs 3:5-6: Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.
